Philosophy:
We believe that each child is a unique individual who develops at his/her own rate. We strive to provide culturally, linguistically, and developmentally appropriate program that focuses on the process of learning and help children enjoy successful experiences. We believe that a stable, safe, healthy, comfortable, and culturally relevant environment is crucial to a child's physical, emotional, social, cognitive and creative growth. We believe that our program must reflect the needs and goals of children and families. We must work together for an integrated, comprehensive approach. A caring, cooperative workplace respects cultural values and supports positive relationships and respectful interaction. I strive to make my classroom developmentally appropriate and centered around the needs of each individual child. In my classroom you will find these characteristics built around my philosophy:
Community of Learners: My classroom is a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for all of my students. Students will gain independence and self awareness, as well as the ability to function as a member of a group.
Positive Classroom Management: Children in my classroom will be expected to follow classroom rules and conduct themselves in a manner that is safe and respectful. Good behavior and manners will be positively recognized throughout the school day.
